Tight Closed-Cell Advantages
GreenGuard XPS is a closed-cell foam. This tight configuration gives it the highest water resistance of commonly available insulations. Water passing through foam decreases the foam’s effectiveness as an insulator as well as opens up the opportunity for damage to the building. This is why XPS is the standard product for many applications below-grade as well as above-grade walls and protected membrane roofs or plaza decks.

GWP/ ODP
Now Kingspan GreenGuard LG XPS insulation boards use a blowing agent blend of less than 50 GWP and zero ODP. Specifically, all LG XPS Insulation Boards are free of HFC 134a. All Kingspan Insulation products are also free of HBCD fire retardant.
